Lodge Damage Free After Recent Earthquakes The Bottle Lake Forest Lodge was originally built by a structural engineer, and designed to with stand an 8 magnitude earthquake. We are pleased to be able to report that the Lodge has come through the recent 7.1 magnitude earthquake, as well as the on going 5 plus magnitude after shocks, with flying colours. All services, such as sewage and water are operational, although it is still recommended that all water for drinking be boiled – just in case.
