Bottle Lake Forest Lodge is ringed by world class sports, recreation
and leisure opportunities.
QEII Park was the venue for the Xth Commonwealth Games. A competition
standard sports complex complete with Olympic size pool, new Mondo
surfaced athletics track, a modern fitness centre and aerobic studio,
squash courts, Olympic weight lifting gym, golf course and driving
range, the Village Green cricket ground, it is also home to the
largest aquatic leisure facility in Australasia.
Bottle Lake Forest Park itself is an ideal terrain for training
runs, as well as featuring mountainbiking, orienteering and walking
tracks. Also great for training runs are the dunes of North Beach,
less than 10 minutes from the Lodge.
Golfers will find 8 courses within 10km of the Lodge, and budding
equestrians will find a horse riding school right next door.
Ten minutes drive will get you to Porrit Park (home of Canterbury
Hockey) Kerrs Reach (rowing, kayaking and dragon
boating) Cowles Stadium (netball, basketball and line dancing,
among other activities) and
English Park (soccer).
Burwood Hospital Spinal Injury & Burns unit is only 500m down the road. With our facilities for people with disabilities, we are an ideal place for friends/family to stay while visiting loved ones at Burwood
Hospital.
The Palms shopping complex is just 5 minutes away for people
requiring retail therapy or just wanting a coffee.
The No. 60 bus stops just down the road and the motorway and State
Highway 1 are also just minutes away.
